Headrest help

I have a 2013 Clubman. I want to lower the rear headrests all the way to improve visibility. There is a donut shaped thing on one of the posts of each headrest that prevents it from going down all the way. Does anyone know how to remove the donut thing so I can lower the headrests the rest of the way? There is a little silver thing that looks like maybe you could press it in and then slide it off, but that doesn't seem to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

It's just a roll pin. Knock it out witha drift punch.

Oh and watch your hand and the leather! It's not in there very tight.

Yes, that small silver pin has to be pressed through and out. I used a small precision screwdriver that was small enough to press it through, then grabbed it with some pliers for the rest of the trip. That then lets that ring slide freely, or slide off if you remove the headrest.
