Vinyl Roof Wrap DIY
#2
3M vinyl is best in my opinion, though I don't know of any other avenues. There's tons of dealers all over the interweb, just Google "3M Vinyl Wrap"
Here's a pretty decent video
I found vinyl wrapping to be very meticulous and required much more patience than I had. I'd see a professional for sure if I were doing something big like the roof. Hope it works out though, good luck!

Wow. Good luck! That's a big job man. I have a few tips for you from my experience doing little stuff...
1. Make whatever your doing very very very Clean! As every little piece of dust and dirt and pollen will show up under the vinyl.
2. You'll prolly I've to do your roof in your garage. Again, clean!
3. Static electricity is your next enemy, as it will attract dust.
4. Having a friend to help. With a piece that big, you'll almost need two people to place that vinyl.
5. Get some tools for applying the vinyl, like squeegees, and similar. Spackle type spatulas should do nice too. Walmart for a few bucks.
6. You'll need a hair dryer or hear gun. This is to shrink the vinyl when you get to the curved edges of the roof
7. Get one of those razor blades that slides out, and you can break off pieces as they get dull, which will happen very fast!
8. Patience!!! And prolly some beer! Lol
Finally, I'd say watch some videos of guys doing whole cars. You'll see the technique for shrinking the edges on curves. I'd also say, do some test pieces with some scraps on those curves until you've got it down, other wise, you'll get to the end, and if you screw up, you'll be upset, and a bit of money on all that vinyl!
Good luck!
