timeing

Hey guys and girls! I have a 2002 mini cooper base model, i was wondering if anyone knew how to change the timeing on it? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

That's what the DME (engine computer) is for. It's not static, it's dynamic. If you want to change the timing curve/tables, you'd need to do a custom tune.

From: Perth West Australia in an industrial unit with my numerous cars.
The DME gets a couple of fixed reference points and does the rest itself. Why do you want to change the timing?

What do you have to do to custom tune the DME though? Im soon getting a new megan racing full rally exhaust. I also have an injen intake system as well. Im looking for a little more snap outta the take offs so its ready for the drags this spring. If anyone has ideas id be happy to learn something new to do!
