Help...Ship going in the wrong direction?
Update:
The Integrity is now chugging up the Chesapeake Bay after sailing down the English Channel and across the Atlantic, successfully evading the Wolf Packs. Note that it departed the port of Southampton just a few hours before the Floriday Highway.
The Florida Highway is still not showing up on any maritime position reports. Did it succumb to the nefarious wolf packs who outguessed her evasion route?

Maybe the Florida Highway has stealth capability or is really a submersible (hence hard to track) then again I'm betting its just some of Capt. Peachfuzz's handiwork.
You can bet that if there is a wrong way of getting there (or over there, or even over that away) then our good Capt. will employ that route(s)...
BTW Motorworf, I see that you are a fan of the good Capt. (and Rocky & Bullwinkle)... love your signature pic ...
Happy Holidays all and don't fret Motorworf, your MINI is on its way... eventually!

I have been able to get a reading on it intermittantly even though the site says "out of range". Yesterday I saw it located NE of Bermuda. Today NW of Bermuda almost half way to USA shore. No gaurantee on what Iam doing with the search site but I'd like to take it as a sign of movement in the right direction.

On vessels tab, type in florida highway under vessel name. Sometimes I get a hit sometimes not. Click on "show on map". You end up in the middle of ths ocean. No ship icon indicated. Zoom out staying centered. I assume that the center is the location of the ship. Hey it locates and that location seems to be moving. So I'm guessing it may be our ship- complete with cloaking device to be sure.

I don't believe you were tracking our ship--way too far south of her journey around the northern tip of the UK and Ireland, but, then again, this is Captain Peachfuzz and maybe...
The Salome, which left Southampton on Dec 17 (3 days after our notorious Florida Highway) entered the Chesapeake Bay area last night and is now chugging up the Bay scheduled to be in port this morning.
Still no sign of the Florida Highway.
Oops, K-Lines sailing schedule now has the estimated arrival of the Florida Highway in Baltimore to be Dec 27!.

that be dec 27? yeah. My dealer still shows info from a most early report arrival time of 12/23. That was before it got loaded onto the Florida Highway and succumbed to all of these shenanigans. It then went to dec 26 and now 27. Even so, shouldnt it be in range by now even if it is scheduled to dock tomorrow?
Track and trace.
Hello, very informative information. You mentioned "Track and Trace", how do I go about finding my car? It was loaded onto a ship on 12-20-12 but I cannot find any details.
Thank You.
Thank You.
VIN of Cocoa in Track and Trace shows lists that vessel as shown above.
But, that vessel's Voyage Number (0046-FHI), when clicked on, shows "This voyage does not exist. Please enter a valid voyage number."
The booking number (GBSOU1081348) shows 330 vehicles of which one has has Cocoa's VIN.
I cannot locate any web site for RO/RO ships that show that northerly route. In fact, all the routes head down the English Channel and West to the USofA.
And, the ship periodically disappears off the AIS.
What is going on here? I hope nothing nefarious is happening...
Where are the sea detectives? No sleuths on board the NAM?

Maybe it is with Captain Peachfuzz's brother.
Seriously, by now your ship will be in the middle of the Atlantic not showing up on any trackers.
1) Go to: http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp
Open the "I want to" window on the right side middle
Click on "Track and Trace my Cargo"
Put your full VIN in the "Cargo ID" box.
2) With all that information, go to: http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/
In the Search box under the words "Marine Traffic.com" in the top right hand corner type in the vessels name.
Then play with the program's options

Actually, from I've been able to discern, it will show up about 10 hours before it makes it to port. But, we are not talking about Captain Peachfuzz, the unknown variable.
My only real concern is what this does to the VDC and transportation to the dealer queues?
Thank You
Thank you very much for the tips!!! i am now tracking my ship. i even have photos of it!

Ok, Here's what I mean when I say that intermittantly i have been able to track. Here's what i have this time
http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/dat...ode=&B1=Search
Destination indicates Brunswick NOT Baltimore. I Beleive KLine indicated Brunswick AFTER Baltimore. But this is tracking straight for Brunswick, Not that it couldnt turn north at the last but...if it's even an accurate tracking. What do you think?

You probably did see her as her itinerary has changed has officially changed and she is now scheduled scheduled to next port in Brunswick,GA on Dec 27 then Baltimore,MD on Dec 30 followed by Charleston,VA on Jan 2. To further muddy the waters (pun intended) and with Charleston being between the two ports of Brunswick and Baltimore, she could easily flip flop Baltimore and Charleston port dates.
Unfortunately, the eastern ports are coincidently scheduled for the dock workers strikes on Dec 30. Could this have anything to do with the shenanigans?
Going around the northern tip of the Uk/Ireland and then down to the Bermuda area and Brunswick (GA) is even more baffling than doing this en route to Baltimore. Something is really amiss here!!!
I still get "Current Vessels in Range: No Records Found" on marine traffic
Here's a couple more sites:
VesselFinder
MarineTraffic
Sailwx.info
PremierShip
BUT, the itinerary
On Dec 17 she was just NW of Ireland when I lost tracking.
Her Daily Vessel Itineraries: 4 Records Found

Florida Highway still MIA. KLine schedule now shows her due into Brunswick 12/27 (today) and Baltimore 12/30. And Charleston after that. Seems a wrong order to me but what do I know about shipping?! Searching Baltimore and Brunswick expected arrivals, she does not show up. We have a very strange ship indeed. All these others seem so easy to track and they stay within scheduled parameters. Ours does NOTHING thta is scheduled thus far. AND she STILL isnt showing on any map or tracking that I can find. And dare we mention that there is a potential strike for after 01/01/2013?
She actually showed up on vessel finder at 09:03 UTC this am meandering about & hopefully headed for the Port of Brunswick! The problem is I don't know if my Roadster is unloading there or Baltimore! Guess it's time to bug my MA!
BTW, I have a CR/B Roadster S hussy who has probably hung out with every good lookin' MINI on that crazy ship! Maybe they are all planning a New Year's Eve party

Better have a fence around your yard. They don't follow the rules, you know, and they just want to get out... you'd better escort her everywhere!
Second, the long lost Florida Highway is coming in to the Brunswick port as we speak--she was due in there as of the last change by midnight last night.
Oh, she's coming in from the direction of Bermuda. Vacation on the beach? Check for sand residuals in the wheel wells.
Now, according to the manifest, they have 300 plus vehicles aboard. Are they loaded with any thought to unloading based on the original order of the ports to be visited? Such as FIFO (First In First Out)?

She appears to be coming out of Brunswick and on to Baltimore/Cape Henry with an ETA of Dec 29 03:45; but she's not met a predicted goal yet.Marine Traffic is almost useless in locating the Florida Highway
I can periodically locate her track on Vessel Finder

I just checked & she appears to be chugging away up the East Coast for Baltimore. My MA never called me back yesterday with info but he "thought" my wayward Roadster was getting off at Baltimore
We all better check under the floor mats for party confetti

Lois, is the a boatload of Clubmans? I've only seen people interested in Countryman or Clubmans on this boat.
Anywho, she's now passing the YM Enhancer across from Wilmington, DE and chugging northward.
I can't get her on Marine Tracker (info is old and still has her destination as Brunswick), but she does show up on Vessel Finder.

And I'll bet this is the most "interesting" journey any of your MINI's have taken, eh?
We sold our Pepper White/Red Interior w/Red Stripes and will now move into the Pepper White/Polar Beige w/Chocolate Stripes Clubman S. And, yes, this is the most "interesting" ship journey I've heard of on this site.

This is my 4th MINI
& I must say it's been an interesting journey. I figure the next thing that will happen is a midwestern blizzard will come along & she'll get stranded somewhere in Indiana
We are sending hubby's old timer 03 Cooper with 120K miles to the retirement home
He's driving my JCW Clubman now & loving every minute of it

now all it has to do is make it thru the VDC, onto a truck, and to the dealers for final prep. That ought to take... what about three weeks???
I don't know if I'm eating popcorn but finger nails might be more appropriate.
But I do like this icon.
