Do they still send these out to new buyers? Got my new car three weeks ago, but no freebies in the mail. Could Sandy have delayed things?

 

I was told they don't do this anymore. I got a bag of goodies from dealer when I picked Audrey up.

 

That sucks. I guess since Grandpa BMW went chintzy with their swag, it only follows that MINI would curtail their freebies. Loved those pens and antenna *****.

 

I bought my Coupe in Jan and got free stuff. It took a few weeks if I remember correctly. Maybe close to a month or so. I'm sure you'll get something.

 

It took a really long time to get mine. I'm wanting to say around 3 or 4 months if not more.

Got my coupe in may and received nada from mini. The dealer gave me a bag of goodies though

 

Picked up my Roadster on August 1st and nothing yet. Does not financing through MINI make a difference?

just got my goodie bag in the mail yesterday. It took about 2-3 months to receive it. Was a pleasant surprise in the mail.

 

I wonder if goodies come from those who order a car new and not buy off the lot?? When I bought Desmond off the lot in Dec '12 I got a goodie bag from the dealer.

 

Nope, I bought my daughter's Mini R56 off the lot in Dec '11. I received her bag o' goodies a few months later (which she received when she was home for the summer).

I bought my Mini Coupe off the lot in July and did not (or at least not yet) received squat... maybe it's only per buyer and not per car?

 

I got a nice goodie bag from my MA at delivery - Coffee travel mug, 2 Carabiner key chains, and a toy MC.

 

I got my welcome kit for my 2011 in April 2011 but my 2012 I got nothing.

 

I bought mine in May, and just got a welcome bag last Friday, a day after I read this thread. I have to say, its really quite underwhelming. Just some literature, a pen, journal, and a bag. I find it funny how the shipping bag is probably the most expensive part of it all... Since you turn it inside out and it is a halfway decent (albeit small) reusable bag.

 

Yeah, it used to be a semi-impressive cardboard box with a mousepad, journal, cool pen, a MINI rubber band, a paper clip and some mildly amusing, but useless booklets. But even if today's gift bag is underwhelming, it still beats the snot outta what Toyota, Ford and GM mail you: zilch. And oddly enough, it sounds better than the cheap luggage tags and tiny zip drive that BMW send you after buying a $60,000 car.

 

yess they definitely still do this, i got mine 4 months after buying the car, i got a bunch of goodies like mouse pad, big magazine, "mini cooper usb", books, etc...

 

I got my swag bag about 2 months after I got my 2012 MCS.

 

Yep, it takes time...lotsa time...bought my MINI end of May...got the surprise package in the mail last week. Same stuff as SkyRideTravis and raffy888 got. Thought the shipping envelope-converts-to-a-bag was a pretty cool idea. Don't know what I'll use it for....

Pretty neat. I got mine on Friday. It may be silly, but I felt like a little kid getting a prize out of the cereal box when I checked my mailbox and saw my package from MINI. I thought MINI had stopped doing the Welcome Kit. I am glad I was wrong.

 

I got one also Nov 27th. Same as Gerry's. Took 5 months and I bragged to all of my friends.
