Would like to know how the auto dimmer rear view mirror is reacting
with tinted glass...was is the best percentage of tint ?

I believe the auto dimmer works by measuring the amount of light through a sensor on the front of the mirror. So it measures how much light will be coming through your front windshield and I presume you're not tinting that .

However, everything will be darker in the mirror because of the tinting, but the there will be no change to the way the dimming mirror works, unless you tint your windshield.
