Ouch!
Ouch!
On the way home from work I hit a cat and besides destroying the lower panel it smacked my ac condensor pretty much against the radiator. Can anyone offer any advice on how to bend the condensor back somewhat so its not touching the radiator? Also, is there any place online that i can pick up a replacement cover that goes under the license plate area?
If you carry a reasonable Comp deductible, I'd let the insurance policy handle it.
Another good example of why I've been preaching on the board for years to carry either full comp, Comp $100, or $250.
Ps. How's the cat ?

I'm sure the cat is in cat heaven now as I was going 55 mph. I have 500 dollar deductible so if condenser can be saved it wouldn't be worth going thru insurance. I always thought the piece under license plate was pretty cheap. It moved around when washing car.
I'd bet a can of SPAM that you are going to find you have an A/C leak ....
I too would recommend calling insurance if you have comp' coverage . . . or is this a kitty collision?
WRT comp' deductables, call and ask: I changed my comp' deductable from $500 to ZERO, on 4 cars, for less than $50 a year. Since I average a windshield a year 'tween the 4, it is a GREAT deal for me.
BUT ASK ..... your insurance may (will) vary . . .
IF it is not leaking a/c gas, I would not mess with it (the cooler) as bending it back has even more chance of creating a leak
