Jeff, quite far from local. Been a fan of Magnus from way back over at the site where most OCD enthusiasts call home! Grats on the purchase, well chosen! Time for Magnus 3.0 build thread.

Minsanity, I'm on that forum as well with the same username. Magnus' history is very well documented on there isn't it? That's one of the things that convinced me to buy Magnus. I was able to read the car's entire history in great detail, along with pictures, from G and D both. That plus knowing what D does for a living, I knew the car had to be in perfect condition. Sure enough, Magnus is like new. There are many upgrades done also that are small touches that just add up to a great car. There aren't really many items left to do to the car at this point.

I ordered a Sirius tuner this morning to add to the existing Alpine set-up. That was more difficult than you would imagine because the Alpine is a great head unit, but it is like 5 years old so the tuners that work with it are out of date. I wanted XM since that's what I have in my other 2 cars, but the XM parts aren't available even on eBay used. So, I found a place with 1 of the Sirius tuners left. So, for only $30 I'll soon have satellite radio on Magnus.

Future mods? Hmmm.... I'm still feeling the need to do the grey toned American flag roof. I would also like the interior to be leather, so perhaps replacement with used seats or recovering the existing seats, but that will be way down the road as the wife has put the stops on expenditures for a while since I've been spending like crazy lately... Anyway, we'll see where it goes. Still, all the mods I want are just aesthetic and not performance related. Magnus already has pretty much all the performance parts I could imagine needing.

So, thanks for the compliments on Magnus. It really is a great car like described on the other forum. Maybe one day I'll have it at a meet where you can check it out up close!

Saw your most recent shots w/ new tint & platypus there. As suggested, it's ripe for Magnus 3.0 garage thread. Don't hurry on mods. Mini ownership is a journey you should be enjoying, savor your every mod by taking it slow as budget allows. Though, there's not much more you could add on Magnus. Another I've a roof flag on mine just coz it works better than tint, otherwise, I've opted to mod subtly & stay as close to the OEM look as possible. The way things are going, we know Magnus is in good hands & are glad you're w/ us. Keep those updates coming.
