My 2012 MCS Makes Gasoline!

I got in the MINI after work today and the low gas warning came on with two lights on the gauge and 43 miles of driving left on the tank. I thought I had more gas than that but....I wasn't really paying attention so...okay. As I drove the mileage left to go increased....no biggy....sometimes it changes up or down depending on how I'm driving (usually it goes down....). Then the 3rd light came on the gauge. Weird. I watched the miles left to travel increase all the way home and the 4th light came on. By the time I got home I had gone from 43 miles left on the tank of gas to 132. Good thing I'm taking him in for a check up on Saturday....

By the weekend you're going to need a trailer for all that fuel. More than likely a sticking float in fuel tank (common when new) 2 possible cures for that

#1) better fuel or a fuel system cleaner like Techron
#2) Drive it harder and get fuel sloshing around in tank

I'd opt for #2

I use chevron with techron premium. I guess HAVE to do option 2. Yay! I'll leave early tomorrow and take the twisty detour. That should fix it.

Thanks for the info.
