I am looking to buy my first MiniS or Clubman. What do you look for in a good used Cooper?

 

I just bought a '08 Clubman S for my wife and I looked for a nice lease return. She is very happy with hers and I felt I got a decent deal on it.

Look for a nice lease return with the mileage and options you want - they are usually still under warranty too.

 

Thanks that is a great idea. I was concerned about signs of hard driving that if the first owner got on the car a little too hard.

 

You may get a few more responses if you're a bit more specific. As a very general answer, you'd look for the same things you'd look for in any used car. Good maintenance history, etc...
