Is it a sign.. MINI bug has struck again

Hi everyone. I've been on again off again about my decision to buy a MINI, but today everything changed. I was on my way from DC to Philly for the Minicross/MTTS event when my car (which since I last posted was in an accident) decided it wants to totally freak out. ABS and brake lights come on, and there's now an annoying tapping coming from the brakes. We made it to the event safe and had a blast. Everyone there was awesome, and the cars were awesome too.

So long story short I think my car is on its last legs, and I really want a JCW now. I want to hurry and get an R56 sometime within the year before they are changed to the F series (although I might change my mind on that too when i see the details on them next year). I will say that think im going crazy with the builder though. I've probably built something like 10 cars already and I'm still not sure what colors options i want. And it definitely doesn't help now that the coupe is out. I've narrowed it down to either a spice orange JCW hatch/coupe or red JCW hatch/coupe. Also I got to see the recaro seats in person finally but it was in the coupe. Does anyone know if when you get the recaro option on the hatch are the back seats in the same material or are they leather? Thanks

I saw the Recaros in a hardtop, I think the back seats were the same leather as the fronts.

Have fun making those decisions! I spent at least four weeks on the configuration with my indecision factor driving me insane. Really thought I'd get a coupe, but that is not how it played out.

The coupe is beautiful!

Thanks for the info Btwyx.

Glad to see I'm not the only one going crazy. I guess I still have time though. I still need to save for a down payment.

I'd guess that I built a couple dozen while I was pondering, it's a nice feature.

Most helpful for color choice: visiting a dealer, where you can see multiple MINIs in one spot, in sunlight and shade, etc. We went 4 times, test drives two of those times, before we settled on everything.

This is a very good tip. Some of the colors look entirely different in different lighting conditions and do not photograph well. That said, I'd put my vote in for Spice Orange. It's not a very common color, but it looks stunning on a sunny day.
