So i just purchased a 2006 MCS JCW with Checkmate Package dont really know what any of that means just know that it is rated at 207bhp whick im happy with for the next few days lol

My car has 95,000 miles and im doing all kinds of maintenance on it to make sure its all good have to take care of my MINI, so my biggest question is I found this "MINI Ignition Upgrade Pack"

Its asking me "FLAT" or "ROUND" what does that mean?
Ant the other question is 15% 17% 19% ??? I dont know what pulley i have its a John Cooper Works. HELP! HELP! HELP!

Flat or round refers to the plug connector on YOUR current coil...the new one must match the old,or the plug which it connects too the car....
The % refers to the pulley reduction size...
Stock is what the S has...
JCW has about a 12% reduction (spins the sc faster). Many differnt % for jcw is quoted....just an estimate.
Most folks go with a 15% or 17% reductiin on an s depending on how the car will be driven...19% is generly pretty rare, and used by few...seems to be just a bit too far...works for some, but many have issues...the 15 or 17 works for most aok.
The stock coil is pretty good...i got a msd due to the brass terminals..my stock was corroded. No change in power...some tuners will tell you they have seen losses with aftermwrket coils. So look carefully.

With a jcw you should be fine with a 17% imo...the head is mildly ported, and flows air a bit better....so the extra boost from the 17 should be a nice feel...
Mostly you will feel the boost at a lower rpm. If you run rpms at high levels...like autox, the extra heat at high rpms can lower times a bit...bit for most folks that drive on the street, the 17% is a good choice imo.
one common issue is getting a puller for a jcw pulley...the stock mini puller will not fit...and a universal will not work. So check to make sure they have a puller that is jcw compatible...
alta is just the big corporate mini vendor...
Waymotorworks.com is the "little guy" i tend to order stuff throgh...they tell you what is good, what is junk...and give good advise (imo) to their customers. They have a pulley package....
A pulley, pulley tensioner stop, new belt, and plugs for a decent price too. Just shop sround!!

Ps the jcw is a very good setup...
Decent intake (if for the jcw210 pacage, 2005+), coated sc, good compermise reduction pulley, and nice exhaust! Good combo...was pricey from the dealer, but nice combo!!
