Exhaust compatibility question.

Hey guys, I have an Invidia exhaust on my 2003 hardtop and was wondering if it would fit on a 2007 convertible?

The only issue will be some additional braces in the back of the convertible. Will need to have some spacers made up to lower the braces so the exhaust clears.

Either that or see if the exhaust shop can handle cutting a short somewhat flat piece to fit between the braces.

So are the hangers in the rear not the same length between the hardtop and convertible and what you're saying is that the exhaust tips would rub on the bumper where it exits?

Should fit. I would test fit and see what happens. It is only an afternoon that you would burn up.

On the convertible there are extra body stiffening braces under the rear of the car. If you look under it follow the exhaust back to the rear wheels and you will see a couple braces that cross the exhaust. Most aftermarket exhaust systems won't fit between the braces and the floor pan of the car. A system for the convertible will have a crimped (flattened) section of pipe to clear this one spot. The system I bought for mine was listed to fit the convertible but it doesn't. The shop that installed it for me had a couple spacers made up to lower the braces about an inch. The exhaust pipe then fit through
