Plastidip lower front

Don't know if this is the best forum for this request but I was thinking of
plastidipping my lower front bumper area. Only the area that surrounds the lower grille and around the fog lamps. Not the entire bumper.

Does anyone have any pics of theirs done like this?????

Thanks

Or, what is your opinion of doing it. Like, dislike????

Try it, the nice thing about Plastidip is that if you don't like it you can peel it off. Post up some pics, I would be interested to see it.

I knew I was going to get that. I'll go ahead and give it a shot and post pics.
Do you think it'd look ok IYO?

I have trouble visualizing mods, I was thinking it might look good in the indented areas around the fog lights. You could do it in stages, just around the fogs, take a few pics, then the whole thing and some more pics.

That's my problem, vision.
I shot it on my pu truck's pillers and it looks great and very easy to
apply so I'm not worried about that. I just hate doing things without
knowing. Nice to see something completed.
Just around the fogs I'm thinking too much like a racoon so I'll do the
entire lower portion probably.

I'll post pics when it's done.

This is what I meant about just around the fog lights, might give the appearance of large vents.

Waiting on 2nd coat to dry before putting 3rd on. Will post pics when done. So far, it's hard to tell with all the masking and newspaper. LOL
Getting tape to stick to the black plastic is a *****, had t use some duct tape.

Ok, here's the finished product. Let me know what you all
think. At the moment, I'm liking it.

I actually don't mind that at all. It looks pretty neat.

Ooo, I like it . Are you planning on doing your upper grille surrounds at all?

Eh, doesn't do it for me, maybe if it was just the fog surrounds.

Considered that but thought it'd look off where the paint would just break.
By doing the entire bottom I used the lines to detail it.
Don't know if I stated that correctly or not.
At least it temporarily covers some of the rock chips. That's my biggest concern, will it hold up????
Like everyone says, just peel it off if not.

I didn't know what to expect (I'm missing that visualization gene too) but I think it looks good. I like it much better than the Audi goatee look.

Yes, I had a hard time visualizing it as well and was deathly afraid it'd
resemble that goatee look I've seen also.
I'm ok with it for now.
May look better after next week when I lower the car a little.

Thanks everyone for not remming me out on this.
At least we all know now what it looks like. LOL

MiniPowa - thanks and I agree, it's different. I think the existing car color has alot to do with whether it'd look ok. At least if I get tired of it I can just peel it off.
I'm really surprised no one has tried this one before. I saw one guy did his entire car with it. That is definetly not for me.
