First Scheduled Maintenance Appointment

Hi,

My mini just told me that it's time for the first maintenance appointment. Call me crazy, but I don't trust my dealership to perform all of the services that are offered in the Mini maintenance plan. Is there somewhere I can go to find a comprehensive list of these services?

I'm hoping to be able to bring this list in and make sure that they've done everything they're supposed to do.

Thanks again. I apologize if this is something that's already been addressed in the forums. I couldn't find anything about this when I searched the topic.

Luckily for you the dealer knows what needs to be done based upon your car key. It will let them know when to do the oil change (condition based or minimum 1/yr), coolant flush (every 4 years), brake flush (every 2 years), brake pads (condition based), wiper blades (1 set / year), air filter, cabin air filter, etc.

Most things are condition based and will not be done unless the computer says so.
When I had mine done they only did the oil change, topped off some fluids and did wiper blade change. The wipers would not have gotten done if the SA did not 'help' me remember. He wrote those items on the work order sheet and they did only those items. So don't assume, ask and make sure everything you are concerned about is written up in the work order.

My question as well.....

I have a great relationship with my MINI dealer, and always get treated well there, although I don't have to go there often, so I trust their service dept to keep my car up to snuff.

It wouldn't hurt to look up in your manual what you think is supposed to be done and go over the list with your service advisor.

2nd or 3rd on trusting the dealership. Mine is great and
believe it or not of all the cars I've owned this one is the
one I totally trust with my car.
Go in nicely and don't be demanding and get a rapport going
with the SA. It really helps. I'm not saying kiss a_ _.
