Remember When

For those of us in the older group. 5 min video.
I don't think this is political.

I for one remember very well. Would not trade the memories for anything. Seems each generation thinks it has the best years to grow up. But we know better..

Great, great video. Takes me back with fond memories. Indeed these are very different times.

Without sounding harsh, I'm not sure the mention of God was necessary.

Neither was the dubious mention of "race relations".
Nostalgia is a tricky thing. I get that technology has changed a lot in a short time (whether it actually complicates or simplifies I'll leave to you), but I grew up in the Seventies and we had global turmoil, injustice at home and abroad, man-made and natural disasters, murder and mayhem. The first news story I remember watching was about the Jonestown massacre. The 60's were tough, too. And the 50's, and so on and so on. When were the "good old days"?

SteelersFan and Stanislaus you both make valid points. No, the video isn't perfect and could certainly be refined a little. I do really like the song though. I remember Jonestown also and VietNam, very scarey times so I guess in perspective everything is realitve. Without modern technology, just like using this site to reflect feelings and ideas, not to mention all the invaluable information, I for one have gained from fellow NAMer's I guess it's not too bad.

Well put, drsimmons!
I do miss being a kid, and not being burdened by the adult world, which I guess is the overall sentiment in the video.
