My MINI Drove Me Crazy!!

Thought this might be an interesting, and educational topic.

We've all been there... You've tried everything, and just can't figure it out!!

We've all started a project, big or small and ran into a problem we just couldn't figure out. Checked the manual, checked the NAM forums, and still can't find the SIMPLE answer.

I recently changed a headlamp bulb. Yes I changed it several times. Even gave a gentle tap to the headlight. Still no light. Looked for info in the usual places, and couldn't find the answer I needed. What I needed was a smack in the side of the head! I wasn't changing the low beam, but the high beam.
Yes, I'm not that bright sometimes.

Anyone else have a story that might help me, and others keep from feeling foolish, and blaming their MINI's for their lack of common sense?

So you were checking without flipping the high beams on?

No, I was replacing the "working" high beam bulb, with a new bulb. So of course the high beam worked.
Just saying, it was very simple. It was just user error.

Got it now, re-read your post in the daylight!!

I once tried to bump start a buddy's Mazda and after the fourth try I realised the ignition
key was in the off position...
