Were it anyone else, this kid's dad would be in jail. But since it's his kid, totally ok? Nope, sorry. I can't imagine a single circumstance where hitting my son would ever be the right solution. And it's not because I grew up in Boston (where my dad routinely beat the crap out of us.)

TG someone finally said it. No, it's not wise to call your Dad stupid, but kids are not punching bags. No matter how mouthy the kid, physical violence is not the answer. That type of behavior today will get you a visit from CPS.
