My MA told me to check the oil after a month since there could be some initial loss/burn during the break-in and that adding a quart after a month might be needed. So, I checked today, nearly one month in, and I can't really tell on the dipstick. There is oil coating it but it's so clear that I can't reall tell where the line is.

Any advice?

 

When you take the dipstick out, use a cloth to clean it off really well. If it is pretty dry when you put it back in to check the level, you should be able to tell where the line is.

 

I would not expect to loose a quart in a month.
I just roll the dipstick on a paper towel and read the towel.

Many threads about the dip stick problems here on NAM. Where is the dip stick who designed that dip stick is what I want to know........????
