If you pull your MINI all the way into a parking space, the space often looks empty to the next sucker that comes along looking for a spot.

And that's why both my bikes and my Mini don't get pulled all the way into the spot. Last thing I need is some distracted driver whipping into what they thought was an empty spot. The next thing is they'll take off and you come out and find your baby all banged up.

Mine sticks out just as much as the SUV's next to it.

This was inspired by 2 instances:

1 - The week after I purchased the car, I went to Target to pick up some things. When I came out of the store, I realized that I had no idea where my car was (my previous vehicle was a Chevy Blazer, so it was easy to spot).

2 - This inspired me to maybe get a vanity plate that said "GOTCHA" or something similar for those people who think they found a spot only to see my care already there. I told this story to my roommate. A few days later I was meeting him at a bar for a soccer match. He spotted a parking space near the door only to find out my car was already there. It was more impressive because it was the mall parking lot.

Since then, I don't pull all the way in...

My previous vehicle was a bright Yellow Ford F150. If I couldn't spot my truck in the parking lot within three seconds of exiting a store, I started to get really nervous. Black Chevy Suburbans could 99 percent mask that beast. The Yellow Mini Cooper gets hidden a little easier.
