2 Years in London - Sell or Keep my 09 MCS?
My wifes job might send us to london for 2 years and i am trying to think of the best plan for my 09 MCS.
My current loan is until May 2014 which is basically when we would return from London.
Thoughts include
1. Sell it, it is worth more than i owe on the loan. there is about 13.5k left on the loan and it looks like the market for 09 MCS is between 18k -22k.
2. Store it and have a paid off car with low miles waiting for me when i return
3. "Rent" to my dad for 2 years for about half the car payment or less. he is looking for a new car anyway.
4. Transport it. honestly we don't think we would want a car in London. We would take mass transit or rent a car if we really needed one for the weekend. (look for a ZipCar like service)

Tough call. If you like the car, and making the payments while you've overseas isn't going to be burdensome, I'd just store it and pay it off. You can always sell it when you get back if you decide you want something else instead.
If your dad is into looking after it for you, that's a good option as well. I am likely going overseas for a year or two in a few years, when my car is paid off (conveniently.) and I plan on leaving the car with my dad to drive.
