She's lucky, and I sincerely hope she never develops problems. There's a class action lawsuit just filed in California specifically regarding the 1st gen CVT, we'll have to see how that turns out.

There were plenty of manual tranny Justa's and S's at the dealer we ordered our Justa from (Northwest MINI in Fife, WA between Tacoma and Seattle).

The last time I was at NW Mini their lot was empty of cars. Well let me be specific. The lot was empty of cars compared to 2009 when we bought our Mini's. In 2009 the Mini's were packed on that lot. You could hardly walk in between the cars because they had so many. I ordered my new Coupe in the middle of August, looks to be about when you did as well, and the lot was bone dry by comparison. I even made comment on it and my MA agreed that the lot was pretty thin. He mentioned that his paycheck was a bit thin as well. We used the same MA this purchase as in 2009.

Ordered on 8/14/11. They had about 15 new MINIs and maybe 7 or 8 used MINIs. Close to half of the new ones in stock had stick shifts.

We would have purchased one of their Justa automatics off the lot, but they were loaded with options we didn't want and were in colors we didn't like.

Yea that's not many cars at all for that lot. I think when we ordered our cars in 09 they probably had 50 cars on that lot and 25 more upstairs in the storage area. I'm not kidding you could barely walk around the lot they had so many. Some of the thinness is due to the new model year changeover. Once the 2012 cars start rolling in I think it will fill up fast. My wife really likes her Pepper White. It's a great color.
