Hey All,

I had a 2005 Mini Cooper S and I loved it. Unfortunately I sold it a couple years ago and I'm wanting it back...

Right now I'm driving a 2011 Mustang GT (450hp 5.0L) I love the power, handling, sound, styling, quality, but I don't like the size or the mpg.

So here's my problem with the mini: I hate turbos... Superchargers have been good to me, Turbochargers haven't. Every turbo car I've owned, I've dreaded (Mazdaspeed6, STI, 135i).

I don't want to buy the new 07+ model with the turbo, and the -06 models are getting older...

Question1: Has anyone put a supercharger on one of the new minis?

Question2: If I decide to go R53 - I want a JCW. How do you know its really a JCW and not just a few stickers and an airbox? Do all JCWs come with brembos and upgraded suspension? What are the giveaways?

If I'm not mistaken to find out if its a true JCW when you look up the VIN number it will say so this should work on 05-06 models. At least thats what I learned when shopping for my first MINI, I was looking at an 04 JCW but my credit union couldn't finance it because JCW didn't come up as an option. but when I purchased my 06 they asked if it was a JCW.

Also to know if its a JCW it should say cooper works on the valve cover I think this is serialized too. Best bet any MINI your interested in that boasts JCW get the VIN and contact a dealer and have them pull the build sheet it should tell you for sure on that.
