MINIunbound

Hey guys,

Sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but I started blogging about how much I was loving my MINI (R60) and how versatile it was for adventuring here in the Northeast, and now that I've had it up for a little while, I thought I'd share it with the NAM community. I'm not sure how many folks will be interested in it, but my plan is to post a little story or a how-to once a week, so check it out if you think it might be up your alley.

Right now, it covers some of my MINI adventures over the summer, a comparison between my R60 and a car that was on my research list when I was shopping, and some things I learned in giving my new MINI its first wash and wax.

I take lots of photos of the car and of the cool spots I've found over the years, and there tend to be lots of pictures of birds, and while I haven't had too many pictures of the dogs yet, there should be lots of those too, over time.

So if you're interested, it's http://miniunbound.blogspot.com.

There's no ads, and I'm not making any money at all from it. It's purely an expression of how much I'm enjoying my car.

Thanks for looking!

Here's a picture from the most recent entry:

Thanks! I'm trying to make it fun and useful for people who are into MINIs and people who might want to try hiking, boating, or other outdoor adventures, so any critiques or suggestions are very welcome.

Awesome! Thanks! You're actually the first to officially "follow" it via Google. It gets about 40-50 unique viewers a day, but you're definitely the first follower. You rock!

Great blog. Most of my adventuring on the east coast was through 10-years as scoutmaster. We traveled all over, and my favorite was NH in the White Mountains. We did canoe in the NY lakes. Now I hang my hat in Texas and have been kayak fishing for almost four years. Give that a try if you like fishing.

Now that I've bought a proper sea kayak, I think I would like to try fishing out of it. I'm more of a flyrod guy than a spinning reel guy, so I think I'd have to figure out how to flycast from a seated position in a boat, but that seems like a challenge that's totally worth overcoming and then writing about for other people who are interested.

Thanks!

Today's post was all about protecting your cargo area from wet dogs. I hope folks find it useful.

Hey all,

Thanks for clicking over and reading and stuff. MINIunbound is currently the top hit on Google (as far as I can tell) for searches about iOS 5 and MINI-Connected, partly because of this entry, but I'm guessing it's also largely because of you guys reading and searching and subscribing and stuff.

So thanks!
