2012 Package Changes

Greetings!! I was at Mini Of Plano yesterday about to pull the trigger on a new MCS with all the JCW options. That was until my super great (!!!) MA showed me the new documentation they had just received for all 2012 orders. With the 2011 no longer available to order, MoP had to cancel all their custom builds that came in this week and re-build each of them since all the packages are changing again (aka no sunroof or HK system in Premium package anymore, and the creation of the new Technology Package). Of course, the online configurator is now outdated...

Curiously, the only thing holding up my order is this...the sunroof currently doesn't exist either a-la-carte or part of any package for 2012! The dealership's new paperwork made ZERO mention of the sunroof in any capacity! I know that obviously isn't correct, so I was curious of anyone else's recent experience, or any other commentary on the re-shuffling of all the packages.

Thanks!
Jon

The sunroof is a $1000 stand-alone option now.

My MA says that horizon blue is replaced by lightning blue. Not sure what that looks like.

Thanks for the pointers, friends! Thanks for the update on the sunroof. Unfortunately, as usually holds true, NAMers all seem to know more than the dealership.

Can anyone recommend which DFW dealership might be better than Mini Of Plano? I thought the ordering process was going to be super easy, but I'm at the end of 2 full weeks of talking to them, telling them "I'm ready right now" to order this car, yet they can't seem to get the job done. Sucks, because I really like my MA and the facility a whole lot, but I didn't expect the general indifferent attitude towards someone with a down payment in hand. This is on top of the fact that the MA knows I currently have no car, as my previous car (97 Eclipse with 180k) is dead, currently leaving me vehicle-less!!

Today, the MA emailed me and wanted me to send him a new list of my build. I'm like WTF? He already has that in hand, not to mention that the configurator is already obsolete!

Thanks for all your help!
Jon

Lightning blue looks ike this:

One of the best colours they've done, I'm glad they're bringing it back.

It's weird that they are dragging their feet on accepting your deposit for an order. I would be inclined to look around for another dealer.
