I was in the city this week for a work event... of course at a restaurant in a crowded part of town at 6PM. As I drove past the restaurant, resigned to parking in an expensive deck 8 blocks away, I noticed a small space right around the corner.

A quick U Turn in the street, one snap of the wheel, and I was parked, legally and with room to spare, 20 feet from the door.

I freakin love this car!

Another reason to love the MINI. Wonder if the Countryman would've fit.

 

My other vehicle is an Xterra, that has been lifted because I used to go offroading A LOT! Anyways, in front of my girlfriends house is a small strip of steet parking curb between her driveway and the neighbors driveway. Normally, if she pulls her car (Pontiac Vibe) up to the edge of her driveway, my Xterra will just barely fit behind her car and still clear the neighbors driveway.

Last night, she had her car parked in the middle of that curb. I decided I would just try it with the mini and it fit perfectly!! I was absolutely stunned, and so was she when she saw my parking job!
