03 Halogen Headlamp adjustment

I must be the only person in America with uneven headlights on my 2003 Mini without Xenons. I can't find how to adjust/level them. The right hand light doesn't even project onto the ground. I really would rather avoid the dealer service to turn a screw I can't seem to find. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

first thing I would do is check to see if the bulb in the offending light is seated properly. It is very easy to get the bulb properly locked down but a wee bit off on the socket. If not seated properly it does not line up to the reflector properly and the beam goes to never never land. Confirm also that both beams, high and low, are misaligned. If only one is wrong then the above issue is probably the problem.

On the back of the headlight unit you should find two screws and for a car build b4 07/2004 they should be labeled l/r for left right and Up/Down

after 07/04 they are V1 and V2 - horizontal and vertical respective (per Haynes)
