How much should I ask for my MINI?

Long-time lurker here, first-time poster, and selling my Mini after almost 9 yrs. (just bought a BMW 1 Series). Since the car is a bit different from most I see on the market, I thought I'd ask advice on the appropriate price point, and who better than you guys? It is an '02 MCS, bought by me in June of that year, one of the first "pre-spec" cars, with Dark Silver, white roof, blue leather, Premium and Sport packages, xenons and driving lamps, for 24,475 plus tax. In April, '04 it got the dealer installed JWC package @4,500 plus labor (I know, I know). The car now has just under 32 K miles, and has been meticulously maintained, frequent full-synthetic oil changes, etc., paint clay-barred and waxed, leather cleaned and treated, etc. It has NEVER seen a speck of salt or snow. It's been a summer week-end car. Except for some curb rash on the S-Lites, only 2 or 3 very minor finish imperfections (you really have to look). In other words, looks and drives like new. But it's almost 9 years old. So what is a reasonable price to ask for it? I'd like to sell it pretty quickly, may put it on Ebay. Thanks very much for any guidance.

Well, it sounds like you have a very well cared for 02 MINI. I would think $13k would be a good starting point. It IS an 02, which is the most problem-prone of the first Gen cars. Your market is the most important aspect of selling it. Are you in a large Metro area? Bonus points. How many other similar cars are available? How does yours compare to the herd?
Easy to ask, difficult to answer.

I agree. I mean it's hard to sell it fir much more because I have seen 07s for around 15k... I would try 14 or 15 because it is in such good shape and everyone loves the r53... And I never had ANY problems with my 02... So I wouldn't worry about the problem prone factor... But I mean I could of been lucky and I did take care of mine like it sounds you did
