the negative reviews I've seen about pandora are contained in the iTunes app store. The reviews I am looking at right now are (1) too many glitches; (2) it crashes a lot, after only a few songs; (3) too many ads; (4) you have to pay $36 monthly to get the music with no ads; (4) the company increased the fee to get music with no ads. But the most recent version, 3.1.8, seems to have a lot more positive reviews than the previous versions.

 

$36 a month? Their website says $36 a year. I would be careful about what you read there and judge for yourself. I'm not thrilled with only getting 40 hours a month for free but overall, I really like it.

 

it 36/year. free streams at 128kbps and when you pay not only do you get unlimited without ads but you get it streaming at 192kbps.

In non geek speak it means it sounds a hellofu LOT better then crappy sirius/xm which on most stations streams at 96kbps and very few at 128. I like sirius but i cant stand paying for it. when my 1 year is up im not. Even though they are commercial free they still have the DJ's that yack about nothing and it gets really annoying. (xm/sirius, close your deficit by losing all the DJ's)

So, when you look at really what your getting for 36/year its incredible. Pandora is still losing money because the royalties are through the roof so from a business perspective i just dont see how you can complain about paying 36/year. They just announced they were going public so all of this is more then likely going to change.

WPBMini. Its free why dont you just download the app and try it out? nothing to lose!

 

I guess my music tastes are less discriminating. I'm happy with commercial radio.

I love pandora and have been using it for years. I stream through my 09 jcw from my android 2. Just use the aux cable and it sounds great.

 

Not to be rude but ITS FREEEEEEE!!! WHO CARES IF IT HAS BAD REVIEWS TRY IT OUT. THE ONLY THING YOUR WASTING IS ABOUT 20 SECONDS OF TIME... HAVENT YOU HEEARD PEOPLE SAY YOU CANT COMPLAIN ABOUT SOMETHING THATS FREE.. ILL JUST SAY IT ONE MORE TIME.. FREEEEEEEE

use it on a mobile device and its unlimited music

 

To me it makes more sense that Pandora would be free if you had Connected, as they are adding special Connected support (they'd display special information on the screen and can be controlled with the ****, in an update due later this year).

Keep in mind that if you are going to be using Pandora a lot for music you'll probably want at least a 2GB data plan, and keep an eye on your usage.

 

or have one of the original iphoe plans with unlimited data... i use my phone as a hotspot alot of places. i used almost 15gb last month

Pandora shows up on my mini connected screen but it wont let me select it :( anybody ever experience this issue?

Yup and the iphone shows a MINI symblom and that its connected and the Pandora logo appears in the radio section of my mini connected screen but it wont let me select it
