Guitar Players - What amp's fits in the back

I am looking for a new combo amp but am concerned its not going to fit in the back. Looking for a decent tube combo (Fender Hot Rod) or similar. I would like to be able to get my guitar case nestled in there too.

What works for you guys? Will a 2x12 fit?

Well, that's an unusual question; in luck w/ some experience...

We have a 2010 R56 (S). Son is a guitar player. A guitar fits of course. He fits his Gibson in a hard case by folding one of the two reat seats down and putting it flat. That's 10 seconds and he goes. Would fit in passenger seat of course too, but then presumably only the driver.

He also has a Fender DeVille--the 4x10. I think that is the same case size pretty much as the 2 x 12. The net is, it fits various ways.

Obviously would fit flat on its back, but then you probably have to squeeze guitar to its side assuming you want both. Amp alone is easy to see it fits.

Fits too if you fold down back seats, undo the privacy protector to the rear of the seats and then put it in sideways (narrow side front to back) but upright.

Might just fit vertically strictly in trunk area (haven't tried but can eyeball it); can also use those funky built in brackets for the rear seats that allow you to keep the rear seats unfolded but bolt upright for more luggage space. With it turned sideways like that (so front of amp is facing out the back hatch), the guitar has to be loaded with the case vertically, which still works.

Net is, owning variously the guitars, a Fender tube amp and the newer Mini S, I think you will see that you could package the gear a variety of ways and with two people still sitting normally up front.

i have placed my Fender Blues Jr (tube) amp and two guitars in hardcases in my 2006 Mini S. One guitar is electric and the other is acoustic electric. One rear seat needs to be folded down for the guitar cases. When necessary, I can also place a small solid state acoustic instrument amp in the back, too.

What about with rear seats up?

With the back seats untouched .....
Can you .. say put a 2x12 in the back with a guitar case laying flat on top?
Or is that just too tight .. with the hatch locking down in place?

I have to fold down the back seats and take the cargo cover off, but I can fit my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (my Deville is too big) and my Les Paul in its hard shell case. Be warned though, it does slight around a little.
