Hey guys... just dropping a line in to say I've joined the mini family, FINALLY. Before I got my mini, I was always looking at your all's website for some great info, so let me first start off by saying thanks for being such a great community, that I, hopefully, have become a part of now that I have my own mini sitting in my driveway right now
It's a (new) 2010 mini cooper s. I owned a BMW X5 before this, and it was just not the right car... 14 mpg, no thanks. So obviously, I'm very happy to welcome such a nimble, fast, small car into my daily life. So far, in the 3 days I've owned it, I've learned manual (bought the car not knowing how to drive it) and am pretty good at it now. But definitely a lot of room for improvement.
Anyways, as this is just kind of a hello post, I will keep it short.

Your MINI looks amazing!

I might be partial to the red and black combo.

 

Good looking MINI. I pick mine up on Thursday. Their still putting a few things on it. Biggest difference will driving lights, JCW grill and grill surround. I'll also replace the scuttles and headlight chrome with vinyl'ed pieces from Lyle at http://www.lylesvinylstyles.net.

 

It IS Chili Red. The shop lights are making it look a bit orange.
