Hi,

I'm trying to remove my R53 engine right now because of oil leaks(I have replaced the oil pan gasket already but still have leaks, oil seals are good), and have disconnected all wires and removed the exhaust manifold and mounts,

The only thing left Are the DRIVESHAFTs $#%#@.....

I was only able to pull the right side out about 3/4 inch out. It won't come out....


PLEASE HELP ME... i HAVE about three days to finish my car.....

 

Driver side easier= remove the lower strut mount. ( and drop link. use allen wrench inside the top link bolt to hold and remove bolt. may have to hold allen with a pair of plyers.) Remove the cotter pin( or the end of the Nut may just have a bend in it.. If so, just use a screw driver and tap it back streight to the nut will turn on the end of shaft, Then when reinstalled, use the screw driver to punch the bend back in it.) holding shaft nut on in the center of the brake rotor. remove nut. and swing rotor out of way. the shaft should now slide out.

passenger side.. same as driver side except there are 3 extra bolts to remove from the center area of the shaft. Just takes patients to get the top bolt of the 3...
