The BIGGEST FAULT with the U.S. version is they are RE-DOING the Euro episodes.....and SUCKING at too...

 

Top Gear USA is horrible. Nothing compares to the quick witted and well-versed original Top Gear crew. I DVR'd the first few top gear USA eps and was severely disappointed. They definitely do have potential because they copy pretty much everything, although the camera lens filters and angles are still not as good. Also the music cannot compare either. That is a HUGE deal that makes certain sequences so memorable.

A few weeks back they had done up 6-7 super cars including a lambo, merc slr, viper, etcc as NYC taxi cabs driving around the city for promotion, I was so excited... but the show is truly disappointing.

Fire those idiots and get some better hosts.

Well i watched tonight episode, and it has been by far the BEST one of the season IMHO

TBO, after tonight's episode I hope it comes back next season (next week is the finale) because its still has potential. I dont see tanner coming back as i feel hes "too good for the show" i think history will can rutledge because hes too cocky.

I had no idea that in 2009 NBC bought the rights of the show and picked the current host's. At the end of 2009 (im sure crapcast's acquisition of NBC had something to do with it) they canned the idea right before filming and History picked up the show in march of 2010. They started filming in August for the November premier. so by that they surely didnt have enough time to come up with anything other then copying the UK's.

I hope they dont cancel the show and give it a few more seasons. Work on the host's and you will have a great show. No, it will never be the same as UK's and host's like Jeremy,Richard & James will be hard to find. We all know what NBC can do to a show so if history has 6 months to make it theirs rather then adopting it from NBC's writers, we may have a winner or close to one
