Finance over mileage penalty after lease?

My lease is up November 15th.

It's a nice 2007 pushing 52k miles. I had a 36k mile lease.

I was planning on grabbing a 2011 and rolling over the penalty into a new finance.

However I came across a mint loaded 04 JCW and want to buy that off a friend.

Is there any way to finance the lease penalty? I'm not going to have $4k in cash to lay down when I turn in my 07.

Advice/suggestions?

Would it cost you less than $4k to buy the '07 and sell it?

What is your buyout number on the '07? Maybe you can get a loan in that amount without a downpayment or some minimal down, and forget the JCW. That is one of the dangers with leases if you exceed the mileage limit as the overcharge can beecome a big number in a hurry, and 16,000 over is a really big number. The only other thing youy could do is find a friendly finance guy who would loan $4,000 over the purchase price of the JCW with nothing down. And good luck with that one.

Just be careful, because you need your knees to drive, and thats the first thing they go for.
