. We have owned 2 MINIs, trouble free at that. Now we have a 08 Corvette 3LT Z51. I'd ditch it for another CoopS in a heartbeat. There is this lil' red JCW...

I have an '03 MC cvt...no problems in the 6 years I have owned it. I bought it used, in '04.
I also have an '06 MCSa...ditto on the problems and I bought it new.

I have two comments:
1) A simple hour of reseach BEFORE buying a MINI would show anyone (OP included) that these are not super reliable vehicles. I love my MINI, but it's the truth.
