06 Sport tuning offfer

I am not a vendor. Just a mini owner. I am looking to purchase a Shark Injector to remap my 06 Sport Conv to cover my newly installed Dinan Cold Air Intake and Alta 19% reduction supercharger pulley, but I figured that I could help someone else who wants to benefit from the upgrade by sharing the cost. It is $299 for the Shark Injector. If any one is willing to spit the cost we can share the gains. If interested let me know and lets talk.

At least in 2004 when I purchased the Shark for my previous MCS, you could not share the Shark. It could only be installed on one car at a time.

That would make sense. The vendors should make patrons aware of this. Perhaps they do after it has been purchased. Well, that stinks. How did the remap perform? According to the vendor it is reversible. I do have to ask myself that if I can reverse it why shouldn't I be able to remap it again without having to buy a new one. I guess I will have to call them to confirm.

The Shark worked well on my car but I had the exact parts it was designed to work it (cold air intake, 15% pulley, colder plugs, cat back exhaust, stock injectors). Once you start deviating from the parts the tune was designed for it makes more sense to obtain a custom tune programmed for your car and specific parts. It is more expensive for a custom tune but works better.

You can reverse back to the original tune and later re-install the shark tune. I did that when my car went to the dealer for warranty work. I reversed to the original tune before the car went to the dealer and re-installed the shark when the car returned from the dealer.

I did have a problem re-installing the shark tune, one time, after the dealer re-programmed my car. I had to send the Shark back to Mini Mania to reset the software. The shark tune installed fine when I got the shark back from Mini mania.
