Ordering first Mini, need help with interior trim choice!

I am in the process of ordering my very first Mini (laser blue Clubman S). I want everything to be just perfect but I am having a terrible time trying to decide between the brushed alloy interior trim or the fluid silver interior trim. Any opinions and or pros/cons regarding these trims would be GREATLY appreciated!

I had this same dilema and really disliked the fluid silver, I had a hard time choosing between brushed alloy and piano black. In the end I went with brushed alloy.

I opted for the Fluid Silver, and love it, but I'll warn you it can get Scratched, underneath it is white, I would take that into consideration. I had to have a cohesive interior, Black/Grey/Silver/Chrome...it L@@KS amazing!!

Ps. Check out my Garage...you'll S@@ what I mean!!

I'm picking up my Laser Blue MINI pretty soon and went with the fluid silver trim. I think with the piano black it was too much black. I think I liked the contrast of the silver with the black better. Here are a couple pics of my car that my MA sent me... See if they help!

Sorry if they're not the best quality!

Thanks for your help everyone. I went with the fluid silver. I was a little hesitant because of the fact that it may get scratched as RJ said. The alloy would have provided a more durable surface but I wasn't crazy about the fact that the alloy had a rough surface (making it more difficult to clean) and that there are curved line patterns blended into it. The fluid silver provides a smooth solid look that goes along with the rest of the sliver faced trimwork on the dash and doors. Now I just have to keep it from getting dinged! 6 - 8 weeks and counting!

By the way, out of curiousity, just how easy DOES the fluid silver get dinged?

I'll bet the fluid silver won't show up as bad as piano black does, any flaw draws your eyes right to it.

It's excessive, but i have 3m scotchguard film all around the door levers to protect the piano black from rings, bracelets and watches. along the top of map slot and the ends of the trim because the seat belt keeps dinging or get trapped between the door/seat when the door is shut.

It really isn't as bad as it sounds, you just asked about durability and I wanted to let you know that...yes, it is a Beautiful Trim Option, but it can get scratched, mainly on the Protruding "V" part of the Trim Piece, if that makes sense. The Dealer actually did a Number on our Passenger Door Trim and replaced it without any problem. Haven't had an issue since. My Driver's Side Trim has a Spot that you don't even notice unless you know where to look. I even think that has been there since Delivery...I can't be sure, but it hasn't gotten any worse either!!

I do put regular Wax on ALL of the Fluid Silver Interior Surface when ever I give Molly a Good Detailing, it protects the surface as well as help keep its' Luster and Shine!!
