MINI Service Guide

I have a brilliant idea (at least, I think it is), for a new, unofficial guidebook for the traveling MINI drive. I drive long distance fairly often, and it's always in the back of my mind that there might be some sort of breakdown. Rather than picking a name out of the Yellow Pages in BFE, I'd like a list of service providers MINI owners can recommend.

Yes, I know about dealers. There's not much of a dealer network in many parts of the US, though, so it's usually not a realistic option unless you're still in warranty AND are willing to have your baby flatbedded a couple of hundred miles. So, where do you go?

I'd love to have a list I can print out and keep in my glove compartment. Has anyone done this before? Can anyone contribute their favorite mechanics? If there's interest, I promise to put it in some sort of usable order so you can, in fact, print it out...

I'll start--in the Houston area, a lot of our owners like:

Gas Head Motorworks, (713) 461-7575
Bertini's European Service, (281) 298-1115 (they service our BMWs)

P.S. If there is already such a list on NAM, please point me to it.
