RT Headlight out last night, Both working this morning?

Pretty much what the title says. My Mini was Parked at a friends house from friday to sunday since i we left for the weekend to a friends house.

when i came back last night about 8 o clock. I get in my car and only one headlight was working so i had to drive with my fogs on.

Im at work right now and 10 minutes ago on my break i went to check my headlights and now they're both working.

I dont know what to think of this,

is it an electrical problem? Maybe the bulb is loose?

anyone ever have this problem?

any info would be greatly appreciated. It'd be a bummer for this to happen again..more on the annoying side i should say.

The bulb could be loose, I suppose. My right taillight did this a few weeks ago...was out one day and the next day was back. Not really sure why.

You didn't say if they are halogens or xenons

More than one MINI (mine and others) have had xenon electronics fail intermittently - mine would fail in damp weather

Not sure on Xenon headlights. If you have regular H7 bulbs, it's possible the element in it has popped, but it's such a small gap that the light still works. If you were to hit a bump or two going down the road, the bulb may actually go in-and-out. Best advice is to go ahead and replace them. Remember to keep your fingers off the bulb surface; skin oil will cause them to prematurely burn out.

SilverStar lights only last about a year. In my experience, once one would go out, the other would follow within a couple of weeks. After changing them out, I would keep the other old H7 as a spare should another one blow (if you don't keep a new set in your MINI as a backup).
