I know Minspeed was up for sale but can't find any news on the net...I've bought many cool items from them in the past and was hoping everything would be ok when the owner announced a pending sale. Has anyone info about this company?

 

He shut the shop up about 3 to 4 months ago. I know it is lame cause I liked the painted parts that he offered.

 

Pete is taking some well deserved time off. He was battling cancer and was still devoting way to much time to minspeed. His cancer is in remission now and I hope he's enjoying some time with his family.

 

Fighting cancer.......real lame...Sheesh!

I bought a few things over the years from him...good stuff...different then other places were selling too!!
I'd keep listening....an announcement should pop-up soon...I believe that there must lots of inventory in tons of boxes to go through, and catagorize, price, and put online. I'm quite sure someone is working on it as we type
The company that bought the leftovers should be making an announcement soon....
I think most people should be pleased from what I've heard!!

 

When I last talked to Pete he was optimistic about the buyer....I look forward to some news. My favorite thing I bought are the chrome downtubes for my center console....goes with the factory chrome dash trim beautifully.

At least in this thread the lame statement came before the post indicating why he was closing shop. Porthos may not have known this.

 

Wow take something completely out of context. I was making a generalized comment of ya it sucks that he closed because of his cancer thats what makes it lame because cancer is lame.

I didn't see any of the MINSPEED unique items at Way last time I looked....but that was prolly 2 months ago

 

I think we should give Porthos the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure he did not know about Pete's health issues when he typed that.

I sure hope Peter continues to have improved health.

Edit... Just read your reply Porthos. I think using the word lame makes folks wonder what you really meant. Thanks for correcting us lame folks.

 

Peter is a good guy. You really got personal service from him and I too am sorry he has sold Minspeed. I think I read something about starting a new shop for Ford products?

 

Mustang is a huge market. Maybe he is getting in on the ground floor with the Fiesta camp.

 

Pete was the best. Glad he got to sell to WMW. Last time I got to stop by the shop Pete was doing great. Pete if your watching we miss yah. See you on the streets.
