We have the ZS for our Mini and love it. I agree that there are some small areas where the sun still shine through, but it's not too bad. The real question is...do you make one to fit a Land Rover LR3? Same kind of sun roof/sun shade configuration as the Mini.

I bought the shades for my '03 R50 and notice a difference with the interior heat. The downside is the rubber pulls broke after only a couple removals. They need to be constructed with heavier-duty rubber since they're exposed to higher heat.

I wish it was completely flat and not have the turned up edges on it.

It seems like I have to play with it to get it into a position that sunlight is not
peeking through somewhere in the corners . I guess this is from being all closed in that little bag.

Good material but it needs to be flat, more like a windshield screen, maybe a tad bit larger, then it would be perfect !!!

My problem is once its in place and its all adjusted, I don't want to use the sunroof as I will have to do all the adjusting again.

I'm sorry to hear that your suction cups got damaged. Please send me a PM along with your mailing address and I'll be sure to send you some replacements at no charge.

Were you able to iron the loose fabric to straighten it out. Most times this will cause the fabric to cover the edges where the sun may be coming through.

Also, does your LR3 have panoramic sunroof's like the MINI?

Our ZippeeShades have been wind tested up to 90 m.p.h. (in the wide open position) without any possibility of flying away. But you have to be aware that when opening and closing your sunroof while your car is moving, sudden gusts of wind may cause the loose fabric to get stuck in the sliding track of the sunroof. We highly recommend that you only open and close your sunroof while your MINI is not moving.
Before you open your sunroof we highly recommend that you first check all suction cups are securely held in place to the glass. Next visually see that the ZippeeShade is sitting center of your sunroof. Open the sunroof while the car is parked and you are ready to roll....

If you practice this procedure regularly, your ZippeeShade will never need to be removed prior to opening your sunroof.

In the event that your ZippeeShade is now "Gone With The Wind," we will gladly replace it for "FREE." Visit our website for more details

I couldn't agree more. You guys also need to get higher rankings in Google's search results because it took forever to find out about this. Work on your SEO and stick the price right up front, make the corner logo permanent (black on black or some kind of embossed approach will be much appreciated and you can also use it as a point of difference.)

I can't wait to check it out though. Aside from buttons and navigation and logo problems what do owners of the product think about the way it functions? Is it worth buying? Are there other products on the market like it?

So it's not permanent then? I've never looked at it.

Are they made for the front and back or just the front?

I just bought a Countryman. Do you know if it will fit that model yet?

Now having problems

At first it worked without any problems.

Now, it seems to come un-done via the suction cups. Hummmmmmm

Maybe my first thought of making my own out of a windshield reflective
material was not so bad.

Also alot cheaper . . . . . . . .

Have been using mine for a couple of weeks and it's terrific for keeping out the hot Florida sun! For me, it's worth every penny.

You'll love it Swopey -- the South Florida sun is already intense but I don't feel it thanks to my Zippee shades.

Wow...this thread is over a year old now and I just saw it.

I've had a zippeeshades in my car for 2 years now. I don't have it on permanently. Only when passengers complain the MINI's own shades aren't blocking out enough sun. Mine work great. They stay on even at speed with the sunroof open. I'm a stickler for windows so my sunroof glass is cleaned often. The suction cups work fine, though I do periodically clean them with a bit of isopropyl alcohol.

I like the fact that the pouch to store the shades in fit perfectly to the shape of the seatback pockets. That's a nice touch for when I don't have them on.

I just got mine in the mail and I can't even use them. It came with only 1 suction cup and missing most of the plastic grommets around the holes for the suction cups. I'm sending them the warranty info now. I'm kinda disappointed that the shades were so messed up but I hope they fix it at no more cost to me.

Give them a call, that's what I did and I had a tracking number the next day and they're sending prepaid packaging for the damaged set! Bummer they showed up damaged but they'll take care of it

Just got an email back from Ari at Zippee Shade and he said he will be sending replacements out tomorrow with a return envelop for the bad shades. That is great customer service.

I just envy people that live in a climate where you would actually need protection from the sun. All we ever get is rain and snow.

I tried puttting it between the sunroof and the Mini sliding shade, which works, but then the suction cups don't work anymore.

You will probably tell me to "iron" the corners, but that really isn't very convenient, since I like to take the shade off at night when I can run with the sunroof open. First off, I'd have to actually buy an iron , then bring the shade in each night and iron the corners.

Other than that, it works very well. I have tinted windows on my mini and with the shade in, when parked, no one can see much in my car at all, a nice side effect.

Jerry
Saved me a lot of typing. Ditto to every point, and let me add that the material is effective, but seems really flimsy for the price.
