MINI Books
Just wondering what are some good MINI books to have laying around for educational as well as intertainment purposes. I already know about the Bently service manual so, what are some other good ones to have? I saw one about upgrades/performance parts for mini or whatever it was. Something to do with mods...anyways...is that a good one to have? What other ones are out there?
I just bought, for $10 on amazon, Mini: 50 Years (http://www.amazon.com/MINI-50-Years-...3393693&sr=1-1)
Fun read.
Written before the Clubman came out, so it was interesting to read his speculation...
I also ordered MINI: The Book, but have not received yet.

MINI books
I got a copy of "MINI: The True and Secret History of the Making of a Motor Car", by Simon Garfield. Published by Faber & Faber, Ltd., 2009.
It does a good job, I think, of covering the early years with Alec Issigonis. The second section, on the 'new" MINI, while interesting, wasn't as good (again: just my opinion). Overall, an interesting read and I'd recommend it -- especially if you can grab a remaindered copy on sale somewhere, or a paperback edition.
