I'm not sure if anyone follows the show Bullrun on the Speed Channel, but a MINI Cooper is competing this year. Anyone on this forum by any chance?

 

I see that on the ad's. I do watch Bullrun and hope to see the Mini do well. I hope the drivers are not as stupid as the Porshe drivers were last season. It is a pretty entertaining show. It is a Mini "S" but don't know if it is modified or not.

I've been looking for the exact line-up of teams, too and I just can't find anything. But I did see part of the marathon on the 16th and did see a MINI race across the promo.

I did read somewhere that the MINI was driven by a 19 year old from Maine. Not sure if that's true or not, but I'll be watching in February!

I think it airs Feb 18th 9E/8C. One of my friends boyfriend is in it driving the challenger. They're having a viewing party at a local bar/grill and guess who I'm rooting for

 

Haha, you couldn't pay me enough to be on that show. If you win you only get like $10,000 and that will probably pay for all the repairs for your car. I was in the top 20 last year and didn't make it as one of the final teams. After watching the show, I'm glad I didn't make it!!

I TiVoed it last night. Hope to watch it tonight or tomorrow.

 

I caught only a part of it last night, not sure how well they'll do but at least they're from Texas.

 

Considering that the LAMBO team are jerks, the MINI team finished 2nd (actually 3rd). We will need to see how they fair on the challenges if and when they must compete. The VW lost last night, it wasn't a very good representative of the VW's or maybe it was (breaking down all the time!)??

 

I'm really looking forward to this season. It's a lot of fun to watch the different cars/drivers compete against one another. The only team I am not rooting for is Team Lamborghini. Seriously, if you can afford that car... why compete?

 

No offense but I kind of like team lambo. I didn't at first but they grew on me a little bit. I am sure glad team VW is gone. I could not stand that mullet. However..... GO TEAM MINI

 

Yeah, only one episode with Mullet dude is PERFECT! But I felt worse for his buddy who owned the VW - it was like Bull Run was his life's goal. And he's out after the first leg. Bummer.

I like to play by the rules - so I'm not a team lambo fan. Playing tricks with the immunity was fine, and actually kind of funny. But don't take down rally signs - that's just cheating.

I like the MINI peeps. I could see them making some good alliances along the way.

 

I watched the show as well, partly due to the inclusion of team MINI and Team BMW since both these cars are near and dear to me.

I didn't care much for Team Lambo either but they do make the show interesting. An observation also; I thought that no electronic navigational aids were allowed? I noticed Team Lexus (the two gals) stop and take advice from a pedestrian who showed them a route on his GPS equipped Iphone? Is that not cheating?!

I don't really see how team lambo cheated at all. Yeah they took the signs down, but everyone found the checkpoint fine. You got to realize that there is $200,000 on the line, do everything and anything you can to win.

As for team lexus, yes I thought that they were cheating when they had someone else use a gps.

And as for the cocky team right now, I am going to have to say its team viper.

Nope, no offense taken, I started this thread to to geek about Bullrun, everyone has their favorites I love the cars and as others have said where did I go wrong with career searching. I'd love to spend some time driving around in a competition like this!

 

Everyone made it to the checkpoint this time... even the Bull Run dude used the word "dirty tricks".

Yeah, Team Lexus cheated, too. All of it should make for some drama at some point!

 

Whatched it the other night. I think it's going to get real interesting. I hope the MINI team can stick with it. But the two girls in the Lexus are going to surprise everyone. They are from here in Atlanta and I know she can drive.
