Okay, I just found out who reported our Minis for parking "diagonally" instead of "parallel" at the Shasta Rummage Sale. While many of our Mini freinds drove several hundred miles to support our event, someone reported us to the "authorities" stating that we were illegally parked. If you object to this please call <phone number removed> or cell <phone number removed> and tell Richard what you think!!!! Support all Minis and call now!!!!

 

Just out of curiousity... were you illegally parked?

 

We were parked along SR-299 in downtown Shasta. It is two lanes wide on each side of the centerline. We were parked well off the travelled road. We had cones and caution tape marking the areas. We have at least two CHP Crusiers travel by without incident. This was purely an anti-Mini jerk that reported our parking!!!!

Did you make any arrangements with anyone in Shasta town government for your event, or did you just take it upon yourselves to cordon off your own area of a public thoroughfare and treat it like a private parking lot?

I imagine that this would be frowned upon in many downtown areas all over the country. If you did have some type of permission or prior approval, then the tickets should all be dismissed.
