New S Convertible - can I raise the rear vew mirror?

I got my S convertible a couple months ago and really love it. However, one thing that bothers me is that with the top down the canvas of the top cuts off the lower half of the view in the rear view mirror - reducing what I can see in the mirror. For safety reasons it bothers me. Tilting the mirror as you normally would does not help. I've tried pumping my seat higher and lower and that doesn't help either. Looking at it it seems to be that if the physical rear vew mirror was just an inch or two higher than it is now it would solve the problem. Any word on whether the rear vew mirror could be adjusted so that the mirror itself was higher? ...thus giving me a full view in the mirror.

Welcome to the wonderful world of MINI cabrio diminished rear visibility. I wish I could offer you a more polite and more useful reply than "get used to it".... but I can't. It's absolutely an issue, and your conceptual solution is valid. But no one I'm aware of has tackled this on either the R52 or R57.

56,000 miles later, I'm used to it.

I've learned to be WAY more situationally aware in the MINI than in any previous car. I know what's around me all the time. Multivex side mirrors help with that also.
