I see that you can have "full" sunroof graphics. And also "perforated".
Do they last about the same (I live in Canada, cold and snow here)?
No, the perforated material has a reduced life expectancy. About 1.5yrs vs 3yrs for the solid vinyl.

Yes. I would estimate it blocks 60% of the light.

It depends on the material and color selections. The 'compass rose' posted by IT Works can be seen from the inside of the mini. It is like having semi-sheer shades drawn on your windows.
My perforated graphic (below) is black on the adhesive side and only allows light through the perforations (about 0.100" diameter holes).
Also check out the FAQ and gallery at Cooper Flags for how the graphics look from the inside.

My roof graphic is the full vinyl and I cannot see outside my sunroof at all...but I do see my pattern..
Same here. I prefer it that way. Can't see out = very little light gets in = cooler interior.
Mine is the basic 6" checkered roof vinyl.
BTW... in response to the question on longevity, I expect to get 6 years of life out of my roof decal. The MINI is garaged and extremely well taken care of, even though it's a daily commute car.

Wow awesome garage!!! Yer in the DC metro right? I would love to see that MINI shrine in person. =)
How long have you had that ? I ask because I put a vinyl graphic on the glass of one of the MINIs a couple years ago and it's starting to crack and peel. Seems the glass gets too hot (unless you cover the entire sunroof) for it.
Anyone have the Helipad graphic on black? I am thinking for my JB/B to go dark tint and the black Helipad.
I think it would look great! I have never seen the Helipad graphic in person, only on MINIUSA, but I think it would look really good on black! Let us know what you decide!
CR&PW&JB-That is one amazing looking garage! I love how there is even a special place for your football!!
Funny, I get more comments on the football and the hammer than anything else.
Yeah, that corner of the garage has the sporting good stuff. That rack thing was there when we moved in... presto, perfect place for the football. The nails were in the wall, too... there's where the novelty hammer (Philadelphia Eagles, btw) hangs.
