Side View Mirror

I discovered yesterday that my '06 S was dinged on the left side view mirror while parked on the street here in DC. I took a look and see that it is being held in place by a "cord" that is keeping it from failing off altogether. It looks to me as if there a pin or some sort of connector that was knocked off. I can still use it, although I have to manually adjust it when I hit one of our famous potholes.

Short of me resorting to duck tape rather than travel to Sterling for a fix, does anyone know part I am trying (rarely badly) to describe, whether I can order one and make the fix myself? Or do you know of someplace in DC or close to it that can help?

Thanks!
Jennifer

Wow - thanks for the link (I didn't think about the picture). I think I see what I'm missing and I can now use this to get help.

You're the best!
