G-Box Performance Mod - ANYBODY???

Has anybody added the G-Box Performance Module by Next Level? It's supposed to add 10-12hp.

hmmm. It looks legit. "increases shift time in automatics" sounds attractive to me but I dont know.

Can't beat the price! I'd like to hear feedback from someone who's installed this.

Thanks!

Seems a little shady to me; generally you get what you pay for. If anything went wrong with your ECU, or really any engine component, after you installed this I would be very surprised if MINI would honor the warranty; and that is the really expensive stuff to replace.

edit:
From what I have read about these this is basically how it works:
They just trick the MAF or IAT to sense a cooler temperature than actual. This, in theory, will make the fuel mixture more rich therefor giving you more power. However, running too rich is not good for your engine. Additionally, most ECU/PCM's will sense that the fuel mixture is too rich and relearn the fuel curve to lean the mixture back to standard settings after a few hours of driving.

Sucker born every day...

It intercepts a signal to the ECU, most likely IAT, and tricks it to thinking its colder than it really is.

Its junk. It probably won't even work with a MINI because the electronics are so sophisticated, the car would know something was wrong.
