I was wondering how accurate or how far down have you taken your miles to empty computer. I don't know that I have the guts to go very close to empty but was wondering if any really adventerous people have gone down really low.

 

I believe it was 13 on my second tankful after delivery.

 

i have had it down to 1 mile left. purely by accident. It said 15 miles, and the sign said next gas exit 5 miles. I thought "sweet". Well it was a lot of ups and downs through the mountains.

I was sweating bullets trying to get that next exit!. whew!

 

yeah..i ran on 0 for about 1.5miles

 

Not very accurate, it's just an estimate based on current driving conditions and amount of fuel remaining. Some, like turkishballer91, have driven on 0 others haven't even made it close before they sputter out.

Personally, I've gotten down to 7 and it was very much a Seinfeld moment. I start looking for a gas station when I get into the red.

 

I have gone into the single digits, then zero, then eventually '---' without running out of gas. Yes, I'm living on the edge . . .
