"VERSA" brand heat shield

Has anyone tried using the Versa Heat Shield for their Turbo? Seems like it should work just fine . . . up to 2000 degrees.

This is just an opinion with no scientific support but i don't think I'd add anything to the turbo proper. On shut down that little sucker is hot. My goal would be to get the heat out faster not slower. Oil sitting in the turbo on cool down has a greater chance of coking if the heat does not escape. I know, I know the water pump runs and what not but the heat stays around for a long time. I'd leave the turbo alone, Just my opinion, I could be wrong! Dan

If anything I would attach the Versa to the hood some how to protect the hood scoop.

Didn't work. Tried it in both directions. Just made everything smell 'real nice' but didn't do bubkis for the heat. I'll guess I'll break down and go for the M7
